A handsome antique Victorian dome top trunk, lovingly restored and hand-finished in our Lincolnshire workshop. A classic form — the domed lid and period hardware combining to give this chest an immediate, timeless presence.

Built from solid pine with steel strap bandings and oak throughout, this is a well-proportioned and genuinely useful piece — as comfortable in a sitting room as it is at the foot of a bed. The warm hand-finished surface has been waxed and polished to naturally enhance the original patina, retaining all the character of a piece well over a century old.

Heritage condition notes
This chest retains its authentic aged character. Notable points: shrinkage gaps, small areas of missing metalwork, old fixing holes and a tiny spattering of historic woodworm hear and there. All consistent with a chest that's over 150yrs old.
