New 180-Gram sealed Vinyl. Babasonicos presents their new studio album, CUERPOS, VOL. 1. On this record, the band discovers a new musical and poetic form and aesthetic stance. Nine songs outside the predictability and saturation of genres are constructed while simultaneously being deconstructed. In the midst of a fragmented era, the album presents itself as a comprehensive work, closer to experimentation and exploration than to any known form. Power, desire, and the body are decomposed in its lyrics as Dárgelos explores vocal mutations to generate new mnemonic rules and a new poetic and musical agitation. With a defiant language and punctuation, the songs constantly seek their own form, transforming listening into a sacred space and the only possible dystopia. Catchy, innovative melodies and a new elegance in their assertions demonstrate how music and the body function today as spaces for defending the common and the personal. On this album, Babasónicos builds upon contemporary bewilderment, disrupting the predictability and expectations of interfaces and algorithms. Cuerpos is an ironically hopeful album that dismantles the package of an uncomfortable future, offering us time off, a bit of joy, and the possibility that something might happen again. Produced by Adrián Dárgelos, Diego Tuñón, Mariano Roger, and Gustavo Iglesias. Recording and mixing engineer: Gustavo Iglesias. Mastered by Steve Fallone, Sterling Sound. This special edition is a 180-gram white vinyl record for collectors.
