DESCRIPTION

  • To operate, a combustion engine needs 3 fundamental elements.

    On our motorbikes or scooters, this will be petrol (SP95, 98, E85, etc.), air and a spark to ignite the mixture created by the air and petrol.

    If one of these components is missing, the engine will run poorly or not at all.

    And one of these elements that is often neglected is the air filter. It needs to be in perfect condition to let the right amount of air through for your mixture to be optimal.

    An air filter that's too clogged will give you a mixture that's too rich, clogging up the spark plugs and the engine, and leading to over-consumption, which these days is at the heart of our journeys.

    Manufacturers give a schedule for replacing the air filter, and it is important to follow this schedule, or at least to check it.
