This pre-1990 original West German Monopol Nutcracker is a vintage collectable item made of die-cast zinc, with a satin finish.

Made by the original company, Monopol, set up after WW2, which moved from East Germany to West Germany.

NOTE : This nutcracker has never been used, having spent the last 30 - 40 years stored away in the USA. Hence marked as Made in West Germany on the box.

Monopol subsequently was taken over by Westmark, in 2005.

It measures 18 cm in length. Presented in its original box and lid, this medium-sized Nutcracker features intricate details and is a piece of history from West Germany.

The silver colour adds a touch of elegance to this traditional holiday and seasonal decor item, making it a unique addition to any collection.

The box and lid, like the nutcracker are in first class condition. The plastic on the lid has however “yellowed” a little.
