It is manufactured from high-strength POM (Polyoxymethylene/Acetal) plastic and is designed specifically to securely lock standard SGJ 14/15 or SGJ 14/16 tapered ground glass joints together. It is most commonly used to tightly anchor vertical glass drying tubes (moisture traps) onto titration vessel heads or eluent bottle attachments so they don't tip, twist, or leak under slight air pressure.
