This is a very rare sample box of Columbia Popcorn Balls, made by the Cracker Jack Co. in Chicago. I have never seen another one and have done a lot of research trying to find any related information.

The mention of Columbia Popcorn Balls makes me think of the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, especially since it is a sample. The label also references Angelus Marshmallows, which started around 1906-1907. This leads me to believe that the popcorn balls may have been a new product introduced around 1907.

The box is in excellent condition with no split corners and measures 3" x 3-1/8" x 3" tall. It was most likely made by J. W. Sefton Mfg. Co.
