As a designer, I have long loved the DESIGN WORK of GEORGE BRIARD. Up for bid is a RARE PAIR of BRIARD'S "EL DORADO" LINE made in the SIXTIES.  What makes this COFFEE POT / CARAFE and LIDDED SUGAR RARE is that they are BRASS OVERLAY with a STUNNING TURQUOISE ENAMEL EMBELLISHMENT.  In over 10 years, only a handful of pots have been sold on EBAY and NO SUGARS have been listed and sold. The COFFEE POT is 10" high by 4 1/2" wide with a WALNUT HANDLE that is 5 3/4" long. The SUGAR is 5" high by 5 1/2" wide.  Both are FABULOUS MID CENTURY MODERN DESIGN. A set on CHAIRISH that includes the creamer is for sale for $1000.00 which is how much a three piece set sold for at an auction house.  The SET is CLEARLY and CLEANLY MARKED on the BOTTOM with "EL DORADO GEORGE BRIARD and ENGLISH SILVER MFG. CORP.
