DESCRIPTION

An elegant Chinese porcelain saucer decorated in cobalt blue underglaze with a stylized pine tree and terrace scene. The composition includes lingzhi fungus motifs associated with longevity and scholarly symbolism in Qing decorative arts. The border is finished with a repeating geometric pattern typical of Kangxi period export porcelain. The porcelain body is finely potted with a soft translucent glaze and shallow form. A refined example of early Qing blue and white ware.

COLLECTOR'S NOTE

Kangxi period blue and white porcelains are admired for their strong cobalt tones and balanced brushwork. Pine and lingzhi motifs symbolize endurance, longevity, and spiritual harmony in Chinese art. Small saucers of this type were widely collected in both Eastern and Western markets during the 18th century.
