NOTE: Engine 58 is the “Station Mate” to the “Fire Factory” FR 012-26: FDNY 100’ Rear Mount Ladder 26, which I’ve also listed today.  If purchased together, discounted shipping will be combined/partially refunded to buyer.

NOTE:

This model was removed from its FR display base, because the 27 Fire Replica models in my collection, if in their original display cases would not fit in my display cabinet. This truck has been displayed in a glass cabinet, in a smoke free home, in which no children have handled the truck.

I purchased Eng. 58, at a time when, in my attempt to follow someone’s advice on the “Fire Replica’s Elite” webpage, to use a broad putty knife to slice/separate the bottom plate off the grey base. My results were less than satisfactory. (poor technique). I’ve since repaired the base w/contact cement, unfortunately the bottom plate of the base has some defect (both on the both & an edge.                                                                                                                                              

I used a #11 blade and sliced 3 small “X” holes & reattached the model via the original screws (see photos)

By placing a bid for this item, buyer is aware the grey base of the display case has been altered/has defects.

Included in this sale is the original clear acrylic top (which is still wrapped in its clear plastic over-wrap). The entire acrylic display case/base will be packed in its original white foam padded Fire Replicas box. This box will in-turn, be wrapped in bubble-wrap & packed in a sturdy cardboard box with air cells &/or styrofoam "peanuts" for shipping. Based upon recent history of the high cost shipping large/well padded boxes: I will split the cost of shipping with the buyer. The shipping fee listed in this auction is estimated to be 1/2 of the Insured USPS Advantage service.
