Museum-quality lot of 8 original vintage art postcards captured by legendary avant-garde photographer, filmmaker, and beat-era poet Ira Cohen. 
The lot features eight distinct cards:
1 through 6. The 6 Picks Portfolio Group: A complete set of six 5 by 7 inch postcards printed in 1988, complete with the original 6 Picks label branding. These cards feature striking, intimate portraits of premier counter-culture icons, artists, and muses including visionary artist Vali Myers, composer Lucia Hwong, underground celebrity Dame Margo Howard-Howard, surrealist scholar Timothy Baum, artist Ching Ho Cheng, and poet-translator David Rattray.
  1. Reclining Baba Postcard: A vibrant color 4 1/4 by 6 1/2 inch postcard depicting a holy man at the Kumbh Mela festival in Hardwar, India. This card comes from Cohen's acclaimed ethnographic photography travels documenting Indian mystics and sadhus.

Condition
All 8 postcards are in very good vintage condition. They are clean, unposted, and have been stored carefully flat over the decades. The colors on the glossies remain rich and vibrant, and the black and white contrasts are sharp. There are no address marks, postal cancellations, or stamps on the backs.
