I think this is what is known as a bank bill of exchange - similar in wording to a cheque but handwritten on what is essentially a simple piece of torn paper with a penny taxation stamp attached. Victorian. Creased and possibly with small tears as shown. There may be some foxing to the paper (marks / spotting) and edges / corners rough / slightly folded. Size is APPROXIMATELY 18x11.25cm...
