This laser uses a 2" arc-lamp in a gold plated cavity to pump a 64mm Nd:Yag rod.  I didn't take apart the cavity to look at the yag rod coatings.

Cavity consists of HR mirror in kinematic mount, q-switch, Nd:Yag cavity, pinhole aperture, shutter, and OC mirror in kinematic mount.

The HR mirror mount has a photodiode for power measurement.

The entire assembly is mounted on a solid piece of aluminum 27" x 7" x 1.5" thick.  Entire laser weighs lbs.
