This is one outstanding native American quiver.
I have not seen another like it; nor are you likely to find
one.
I am no expert on such artifacts, so I will do my very best
to describe this one as best I can.
I cannot be sure of the time period of this piece, but I
would venture to guess that it dates to 1840-1880s? Perhaps one of you – when you read this – can
illuminate me. If you do, I can add to
the description here.
Rawhide Quiver with Strap
This is an original artifact and authentic native American,
as far as I can tell.
It is finely crafted.
The details are remarkable – some of which I had never noticed until I started taking close-up pictures for this listing. They speak for themselves.
The strands/strips on the side of the quiver are
amazing. I can picture them flowing in
the air when the warrior rides high in the wind!
I have looked all over eBay for a similar item, but see
nothing that comes remotely close to this one.
It is not only because this item is rare, but its quality is
impeccable!
I do not see any flaws. The quiver is perfectly preserved in its original
condition, which alone is an astonishing fact.
There are no rips or tears. All parts are intact.
Yet there is beautiful natural age to this item. It definitely conceals a history
I have owned this item for many years. I am now offering it to the best owner I can
find. Technically, as I said, it belongs
to a Native American museum. Otherwise, the
private collection of an aficionado.
