The program is in excellent condition with only light wear. The reserved ticket stub has two nice corners and no creasing, and the lineup has only light wear. Numerous pictures were taken to assist with the condition and content of the program, ticket stub, and lineup.

The 1981 Atlanta Journal 500 was held at Atlanta International Raceway on November 8th. A crowd of 47,500 would Harry Gant lead the 40-car field to green for 328 laps. Neil Bonnett won this race by a single car length over Darrell Waltrip. Finishing third was Cale Yarborough, followed by Bobby Allison and Jody Ridely. Bill Elliott finished sixth in the George Elliott Ford.
