Offered here is an original Bassett-Lowke O gauge electric streamlined LMS Coronation Class 4-6-2 tender locomotive, carrying No. 6220 “Coronation”, together with 3 Exley LMS coaches.
This is a highly attractive late-1930s Bassett-Lowke locomotive, dating from approximately 1937–1939, finished in LMS maroon with lining, and presented in near mint condition.
The locomotive carries a small stamped “31” to the underside of the locomotive coupling tab, believed to be the relevant factory or build number.
It is also believed that the locomotive was professionally restored in the UK during the 1980s–1990s. from the collection of Bill Baker 1978-2008
