Vintage Game of Squails, 19th Century, William Whiteley.
- Classic historical vintage game originally made by Jacques of London.
- A beautifully crafted set of pieces in very good condition.
- Slide lid wooden box with green decorated label.
- A Trademark sticker is of William Whiteley, Westbourne Grove, London.
- One of London's First 'Department' Stores, from the 1860 - 70s.
- Not dated but assumed late Victorian.
- Featured small jack, measuring swoggle and eight squails.
- Please note without instructions.
- There are four ebony squails, four box wood squails.
- Each of these have matching leather coloured green, red, black and cream inserts.
- The slide lid pine box is in good condition minor aged wear, with insert for squail jack.
- All parts clean good condition.
- The wooden box is generally clean and sound with minor nicks and scuffs.
- Size of box approx 22.5 x 11.5 x 3 cm. Squails are 5 x 5 cm
- A very presentable historical version of this enjoyable game.
