Here we have a beautiful, original oil on panel painting by unknown artist "Billington". I was told when purchasing this that the artist was from Colwyn Bay. I have seen several paintings by this artist across North Wales as well as Liverpool, so I would imagine the artist is fairly local. This gorgeous painting would date to somewhere around the 1960's-70's I would imagine. It depicts a picturesque landscape scene of mountains, lake and trees; I would think this is somewhere in Snowdonia but I don't know the exact location. I believe this is oil paint but there is a small chance it is acrylic. I love that it is painted on a wooden panel which measures approximately 25.75 inches by just over 9.75 inches. This would look fabulous on the wall of your home, a local business or restaurant. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to ask.
