This is a unique ceramic Sugar Skull has a Day of the Dead theme with a hand painted bright red Diego rose, flowers and metallic gold accents. It is handmade in Mexico, signed by the artist and a lovely gift for the ofrenda, a Cinco de Mayo celebration, Mexican folk art collector and all Dia De Los Muertos celebrations!

Hand painted by the talented artist, Rubicel Lazaro, in Mexico, this ceramic clay sugar skull is painted in matte turquoise blue with Day of the Dead, Alebrije style, bright metallic gold colored details and pretty roses.

This skull's Day of the Dead face is painted in the traditional Alebrije Nahua style with bright metallic gold flowers, swirls and dots and we love the metallic gold eyelashes surrounding his red outlined eyes and eyebrows. His (or Her) nose also has a red outline with metallic gold dots. The most unique part of this artist's design is the large red with black outlined Mexican rose on the top and at the cheeks. These red roses with pretty green leaves are the symbol for the story of Juan Diego and the Virgin of Guadalupe.

The bottom is hand signed by the artist, Rubicel Lazaro. Rubicel's art is so unique.

This sugar skull measures 2.5 inches from side to side, 3.25 inches from front to back and is 2.75 inches high. Please see all photos for measurements.
