About the rod: from AI research
At the time of its introduction by Hercules Corporation in the mid-1980s, IM6 graphite was revolutionary because it offered increased modulus (stiffness) without sacrificing the strain rate (strength).
This allowed designers like Press Powell to create rods that were lighter and more responsive than previous graphite generations while maintaining enough durability for regular fishing.
