​Pachypodium Baronii var. Windsorii is a striking Malagasy caudiciform admired for its thick, bottle-shaped, spiny trunk and elegant, palm-like crown of glossy green leaves that emerges during the warm growing season. Native to rocky, seasonally dry habitats of Madagascar, this variety is especially prized for its slightly more compact, sculptural form and its brilliant scarlet, star-shaped flowers, which appear on mature plants and create a dramatic contrast against the silvery, armored stem.
