On the bottom of the stand it says "Bought in Oaxaca, Mexico, Summer 1988. I tried looking up more information on this doll but it would only come up as a Hopi Kachina doll. The yarn strands have the traditional Mexican flag colors but I don't know what the blue yarn stands for. Also not sure about the hat. It's very light weight wood.
