I have acquired a Trailer Load of Thousands of Don Hume Leathergoods. These are CLASSIC & VINTAGE NEW, old factory stock, Never used, never sold to the public.
Items offered and in EXCELLENT, fully serviceable condition, as the day they were made.
Some however were facotry overuns or 2nd choice, often for just a misplaced stitch, or slightly wrong color match to standard. There may also be some very minor marks from storage and handling.
I got a great price...and so will you!

COMPANY INFO:
DON HUME LEATHER GOODS, of MIAMI OKLAHOMA
has been a holster maker for Since the 1950's. A former La Mesa, California
Police Officer and later a San Diego County Deputy Sheriff,
Don always had a bent towards law enforcement equipment.

Don has always made an excellent holster, and his products
are well known throughout the West.
Don, a more unassuming and less flamboyant type,
started his holster business in La Mesa, California. It sprung from his hobby of
making holsters while in the Navy in the early 1950s. He opened a "garage" shop
during his next 7 years while serving in the local
police departments
Later he devoted his full time to his business and moved to Miami, Oklahoma where he operated out of a 10 acre, 25,000 square foot building.
He perfected the rugged rigs of his day, and created new styles
and developed new ideas as the company grew.
He worked at various times with the likes
of ELMER KEITH , BILL JORDAN and other
famous shootists of the old days in holster designs and patents.
The biggest footnote in Holster History for the Don Hume Company would
probably be the development and marketing of the BILL JORDAN BORDER PATROL design, and having it overseen by Bill himself, a personal friend of Don Hume.

This is for a vintage & quality made DON HUME, of Miami, Oklahoma brand in PLAIN BLACK finish, leather POLICE DUTY gun holster.
This is Hume's MODEL H901 BULWARK, BREAKFRONT HOLSTER, 2nd Generation. Made from uniform quality, top grain cowhide, it actually only a Half Break front. This lets you clear leather in half the time of a fully enclosed rig, the holster uses a V Spring design to maintain holster stiffness, and a rear trigger pocket to make a gun grab from the rear most difficult.
The seam is welted, slicked and polished for a professional finish and to go easy on clothing and uniform
Cylinder cut outs and this pocket allow you to holster the gun if you need to go hands on or handcuff a suspect. Your gun will remain relatively secure if a fight or foot pursuit begin, until you can lock it down with the front wrap around strap and snap.
The interior is this holster is FULLY LINED with a second leather layer,
finished smooth, and designed so NO METALWORK contacts your gun
The holster is mounted on a leather reinforced belt loop, in a Low/Mid Ride and slides over a belt up to 2.25" wide at a NEUTRAL PRESENTATION.
This is a CLOSED MUZZLE holster.
