Originally releasing in 1988, the Air Jordan 3 was a debut in more ways than one. It was the first Air Jordan designed by Tinker Hatfield, the first Air Jordan to feature the Jumpman logo and the first to feature an exposed Air unit; it took a brave step forward and went on to influence the rest of the Jordan lineage of footwear. The AJ3 'White Cement Re-imagined' honours 35 years with an aged aesthetic that redefines timeless. It’s designed to resemble the OG (original) tooling and shape found on the 80s pair. The thick white leather found on most of the classic AJ3s is back in its true form, along with the highly coveted elephant print on the toe and heel (updated to replicate the '88 original). The midsole, eyelets and heel tab have been given the aged treatment, similar to the yellowing found on the “Lost & Found” Air Jordan 1s. The box has also taken design cues from the “Lost and Found” release with its pre-damaged edges and OG Jordan design. The final touch comes in the form of the sought-after classic “Nike Air” branding at the heel.
