Originating in Baoding, China during the Ming Dynasty, these precision-crafted metal spheres have evolved into hollow balls with internal chimes designed for both physical exercise and relaxation.
Baoding Balls date back to the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) in Baoding, China. Originally used as solid iron training tools by soldiers and scholars, they were later refined into hollow, decorative balls with internal chimes. Today, they are widely used for hand conditioning, relaxation, and focus.

Each ball contains an internal chime. One produces a higher-pitched tone and the other a lower-pitched tone. As the balls rotate, the alternating tones provide feedback for proper technique while creating a smooth, calming rhythm.

Place both balls in one hand and rotate them in a circular motion using your fingers and palm. Keep them moving smoothly without touching. Increase speed as control improves and reverse direction to work different muscle groups.
