This glass dish is made of two pieces: a basket base and a hen-shaped lid with a beaded edge. 

It is often used as a candy dish or trinket holder.  Color shade may vary very slightly. 

Unknown of it's original origin, possibly an import.

It measures approximately:  4 3/4" long x 3 1/4" tall
