1950 SDA Students for Democratic Action Univ. of Chicago song sheet ADA student arm

My late mother was a student at the University of Chicago from 1949 to 1954. This song sheet was among her effects.

There are 3 legal-sized, typewritten sheets. Some songs are old labor or protest songs that have new words written for the then-current time. Others, like "Joe Hill" appear as we all know them.

On the last page is typed:
"University of Chicago
Students for Democratic Action"

SDA was (and maybe still is) the student arm of Americans for Democratic Action, founded shortly after FDR's death. ADA does grassroots organizing for liberal and democratic values and progressive political issues.

Yellowing to pages. Creases, 3 horizontal and one vertical, from being folded for 75 years.

All typing clear. No rips or tears.

A wonderful piece of Progressive US History.

I will ship as soon as I receive payment.
