This is a premium electrum-bearing quartz slab cut from an authenticated relic of the1800s Ore Knob Copper Mine, Ashe County North Carolina. Shows visible silver- gold electrum, native silver gold electrum with traces of copper and tiny amount of iron oxide veining with trace iron, weakly magnetic in some areas, iron staining inside the polished quartz matrix, excellent metallic exposure, silver and gold metals make-up most of the weight of the slab. Weight 1.158 Lbs. Slabs measurements are 5 inches x 4-3.4 inches x 1/2 inch. Large areas of silver-gold metal content with smaller veining. Gold rich electrum plates, hydrothermal quartz vein structure. Registered in the Appalachian Vault as Sovereign Divergence No. 123. Electrum slab of this size and quality is very rare and highly sought after . Historical registered pre-modern mine ore relic that was cut in the recent years revealing the large metal pockets.
