Refurbished mortise lock manufactured by Corbin Lock #1099.  Could be paired with any of the Ceylon knobs.  This is the keyed or locking side.  Cleaned, polished where appropriate and the cast iron case stripped to bare metal and repainted. After removing layers of old paint, most of the original brass plating on the faceplate was found to be worn very thin. It was clear coated to help protect the metal surface.

Please remember that these are old pieces, many coming from homes well over 100 years old so they will NEVER EVER be perfect and will always show some evidence of natural wear.  I will happily provide any other additional information that I have and or provide you with additional/better pictures upon request.
