This listing is for one vintage 1940s Cordé handbag in chocolate brown.

Corde (pronounced "corday") handbags, popular from the 1930s-1950s, are characterized by raised, decorative embroidery made from rayon or silk gimp cord. This cord is sewn onto a stiffened fabric base, often buckram, to create textured, durable, and frequently black or navy patterns, with the embroidery machine-made, often in a flat pattern.

The interior is a lovely dusty pink and has the original label.

The bag is vintage and has visible signs of wear and aging - please see photos for details.
