Vintage brass , white metal or silver plated tea strainer marked  GERMANY. Typically exported between about 1890 and 1914 (before and just after WWI when export marks were required).

• Late Victorian / early Edwardian, Art Nouveau floral decoration with pastoral scene on handle. Looks like the girl seated is feeding feathered friends; companian to the right and cottage in the background

The golden interior is typical of:

• Probable gilt wash (gold wash) inside the bowl, used to prevent tea acids from affecting the silverplate
