A nice example of the

WW-II British Army Officer's

Mk-1 Magnetic Marching Compass

1941-45

Manufactured in a black bakelite body by

T.G.& Co. Ltd,

the Mark 1 Magnetic Marching compass was introduced in 1941

as a replacement for the previous & heavy circular

Army compass in a metallic body.

Featuring a 'D' ring to which a lanyard could be attached,

the inside of the lid has a split mirror, whilst

the base bears a War Department Arrow.

In addition the base is marked:

COMPASS MAGNETIC MARCHING

MARK 1

B62721

T.G. & Co Ltd

In a very nice issued & working condition, this is

another great example of a WW-II Army Officer's personal kit!

 Thanks for looking..!
