Vor ihm grast eine kleine Sschafherde während im Hintergrund ein Regenbogen erscheint. Links ist der Text von Johann Wolfgang von Goethes Gedicht "Schäfers Klagelied" aus dem Jahr 1802 abgedruckt. Aus dem Werk "Randzeichnungen zu Goethes Balladen und Romanzen" 1829-1839.

  • Description: Beautiful depiction of the pastoral romance. On a hill under a single tree stands a shepherd with a herding dog. In front of him a small flock of sheep is grazing while a rainbow appears in the background. On the left is the text of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's poem "Schäfers Klagelied" from 1802. From the work "Randzeichnungen zu Goethes Balladen und Romanzen" 1829-1839.
