This is a unique Huichol Beaded Pouch Necklace with a Lavender Purple and AB Bronze Sun Border. It is a lovely Ethnic Handmade Mexican Folk Art piece of Jewelry.

Longer style medallion necklace with bright color glass Chaquira beads. The mystic spiritual pouch is used by the Huichol to carry seeds that are blessed during the ceremony for successful crops. The story is told that the Huichol Indian, Yuramec, escaped the flood and carried a pouch of seeds and medicines around his neck to cultivate his new land.

The details include a 3.25 inch wide micro glass beaded medallion with graduated length dangles. The circle around the medallion is the symbol for Hope. The medallion is hand woven onto a black double sided simulated leather pouch bag. The medallion has a beautiful Peyote flower made lavender glass beads and pale lavender accents. The background is lavender and is surrounded by an AB bronze twist tube beaded dream catcher sun and it has lavender pearl accents.

Matching graduated length dangles below the flower medallion form the Prayer Arrow symbol with beads in lavenders, lavender pearl, white and black. The tips sparkle with AB bronze glass beads and larger clear faceted purple beads. The medallion is held by a beautiful Huichol floral beaded strand with colors that match the medallion. Handmade by a Mexican Huichol Indian from the Sierra Mountains in Jalisco, Mexico. The Huichol are an indigenous Mexican Indian tribe that originally relied on symbols for their written language. Their culture, rich in ceremony and spirituality, create beautiful beaded art necklaces and earrings. Each one of their beaded necklaces takes hours and days of work. One by one, glass beads were added to create this gorgeous medallion necklace. This necklace is 100% authentic Huichol hand crafted, glass beaded jewelry and not the imitation plastic beaded necklace.
