Offered here is a VIP display model of the Chance Vought F-8 "Crusader", produced by Precise Models of Elmira, OH. Scale looks to be 1/48th. As the photos will attest, the model itself is in good shape; however it is missing the canopy, ventral stabilizers, and sidewinder rails/missles. I leave it to the buyer to decide if to display 'as is', or to replace missing parts with those easily found in scale model kits. It could also be used as the basis of a complete display model if buyer has another model. 

What's unique to this model is the fact that it was produced in markings of the South Vietnamese Air Force...officially known as the Republic of Vietnam Air Force (RVNAF). Vought produced this model in hopes of convincing the RVNAF of purchasing the F-8...something that, in the end, did not happen. I've tried to detail the wear to the decals, and the model itself would benefit from a good cleaning. The aircraft itself measures approximately 13.25“ long and  9“ wide, and 4“ tall. All in all, an interesting piece. It would be a great addition to any aviation collection.

The model will be carefully protected in bubble wrap and other packing materials and shipped via USPS Priority Mail.
