Particularly well made from beech wood, this is a period hat block from France, part of my wife's collection (professional milliner).
Very much of the period - good for making period hats and a beautiful decorative item in itself if not used for millinery.

In good used antique condition, with some chips on the outer edge of the turban folds side front and what looks like a historical repair at the back edge/fitting. Pin/drawing pin holes only along head fitting from blocking, none to the folds outside. Original dark wood finish (no wax etc.), so still usable for blocking/professional millinery.
Measurements: 17 cm high, 22.5 cm (front to back) and 20.5 cm (left to right), 17 cm x 14 cm across the fitting
