If you are buying from the USA, and having the item posted to the USA: due to new tariffs imposed by the current US administration there will be Import costs to pay which US Customs require to be paid before we can post the item to you. We can issue you a PayPal invoice for the amount, so please send us your PayPal email address when you pay for the item. Royal Mail will charge us for the Import duty and then pass it on to US Customs on your behalf.

The Import duties are as follows:

For items made in China: 35% + £1

For items made in the EU: 18% + £1

For items made in the UK: 13% + £1.

International buyers, please note: due to the fact that it has become so costly to post items to destinations outside the UK, we have decided to implement the eBay option not to accept returns from International buyers, unless of course we make a mistake. In the 15 years + that we have been trading on eBay we have only ever had two customers who have asked to return an item because they 'changed their mind, or bought the wrong item' We try and keep our prices and postage charges as low as we possibly can, so we cannot afford the losses that we would inevitably incur if we did accept remorse returns. We hope that you understand. Any import or other duties are the responsibility of the buyer.

Description:
The stand that this body is sitting on is not included, neither is the tree...

Hogwarts Express Castle Class loco body number 5972, with fitted body weight. This body comes from a non-DCC Fitted/non-DCC Ready, Hornby Ringfield powered (Harry Potter), Castle (and County class) chassis. The large body weight would get in the way if you try and fit it to a DCC Fitted or DCC Ready chassis. This body would not be an easy fit to the latest Hall Class Hogwarts Castle loco chassis - in fact it woudl be quite difficult, so unless you are an expert, I would suggest that you don't buy this body if you want to fit it to a Hall class chassis.
Condition:
The front crest is missing;
the rear chassis to body mounting locator is damaged (see photos), so you would need to fix (glue) a knurled nut or similar into this hole, because you knurled nut won't stay in place without being glued. It looks as though the previous owner has unsuccessfully attempted this;
the tiny stays at the rear of the cab are missing.
We are therefore offering this body at a very much reduced price. The rest of the body is in very good condition as pictured.
Features:
There are sprung buffers, cab glazing, separate boiler handrails and plenty of 'brasswork'. Nothing else you can see in the photos is included...
