Here is a pile of fabric that is off white, beige, ivory and all the other neutral colors.  These are remnants with no selvedge edge or only one selvedge edge.  I usually use these for stamping images on and sewing them into a journal or I use them for embroidery.  Also, if you tear them into strips, they can be used for a journal closure.   Add some old lace to these pieces and you could have a stunning journal cover.  They can also be used for lining a small project like a make-up bag.  Oh, I could keep going but you are probably getting some ideas of your own.
