Offering up a vintage Seiko 5 Automatic 'Frankenwatch', featuring a classic silver/linen dial and a reliable Seiko automatic movement. PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION THOROUGHLY.

The dial is a distinctive silver/light gray with a fine, vertical striped/linen texture. The applied gold-toned bar indices and matching dagger-style hands give the watch an elegant, vintage appearance. The dial is authentically marked "JAPAN 6309" and "6300 R". 

Inside the watch is a genuine Seiko Caliber 6309 AUTOMATIC movement, which is the caliber indicated by the number found on the dial. It features 17 Jewels. This movement does not support manual winding or a hacking (stop-seconds) function. Based on the production years of the 6309 caliber (circa mid-1970s to late 1980s) and the style of the watch, the original watch head likely dates from the late 1970s or early-to-mid 1980s. 

This watch has an aftermarket/replacement case back. It is a genuine Seiko part, but it is not original to this specific watch head. The markings on the case back indicate it comes from a different vintage Seiko 5 model with the case reference. The serial number on the replacement case back, "392102", indicates the original watch it came from was manufactured in September of 1983. This is a "Frankenwatch," meaning parts have been mixed. This watch is sold as described.

The prior owner did not add a new gasket. DO NOT GET THIS WATCH WET EVEN THOUGH IT HAS A TIGHT CASEBACK!

Finally, it is paired with a legit, vintage Seiko stainless steel band with all original links. Removed links are included with this listing.
