1956 Democratic National Convention Delegate Badge/Ribbon and Entrance Plastic ID along with two books.
Governor Adlai Stevenson II was nominated for President against President D. Eisenhower.

The two books are:
Campaign Speeches of American Presidential CANDIDATES 1928-1972 Selected by Aaron Singer 1976 First Edition w/ cover
A Prophet in His Own Country The Triumphs and Defeats of Adlai E. Stevenson by Kenneth Davis 1957 First Edition w/ cover

The neat thing about this set was these two badge items were all you needed to enter the hall assembly in those days.  NOT NOW.
The plastic pin backing works.  I have not touched the metal pin and will not.  These were my mothers, who represented South Miami, Florida under Governor Leroy Collins.  She rooted for Kennedy as VP, but he withdrew.
