A high-quality replica of the Medal “For Combat Merit”. This version of the medal (with a square suspension) was awarded from the time of its establishment until autumn 1943, when it was replaced by the version with a pentagonal suspension.
This medal was awarded for participation in the Finnish War, as well as for combat actions during the initial, most difficult period of the Great Patriotic War. After the introduction of the pentagonal suspension, many recipients (mainly officers who continued their service in the ranks of the Red Army, especially after the war) replaced the old suspension with the newly established one.
The replica is made without the use of precious metals; however, the silver plating on the medal darkens over time, just like the silver on an original medal, acquiring a beautiful patina. All dimensions are accurately preserved, and an original medal was used as a reference during production.
