WWlI United States Army
Good Conduct Medal
Offered is an original U.S. Army Good Conduct Medal, World War II era, awarded for honorable and faithful service during a period of active wartime duty.
The obverse features the American eagle standing on a sword, encircled by the words “Efficiency – Honor – Fidelity.”
The reverse displays a five-pointed star within a laurel wreath with the inscription “For Good Conduct.”
This medal is suspended from its original red ribbon with white edge stripes and retains the original pinback brooch, a configuration typical of WWII-period production (circa 1941–1945). The medal itself measures approximately 1.25 inches in diameter, not including the ribbon.
Condition is consistent with age and service history. The ribbon shows wear and fraying, and the medal displays an even bronze patina with surface wear, all appropriate for an original wartime example. No repairs or alterations are noted.
