  • Book Condition
  • Very Good
  • The binding remains structurally sound and visually impressive, with light, age-appropriate wear to the corners and spine ends and some mild sunning to the spine. The red morocco boards exhibit a rich patina with minor rubbing to the front panel. The brass hardware is exceptional, clean, sharp, and firmly attached. Internally, the hinges are robust despite some expected cracking to the surface of the endpapers. The pages are notably clean and free of notations, and the gauffered gilt edges remain very bright and crisp, with the hand-tooled pattern showing minimal softening. The hand-coloured maps are neatly folded and well-preserved.
