Having a highly intricate decoration of a Scrolling Leaf Design engraving to both main panels, and a monogrammed cartouche. 

Hallmarked for the Birmingham assay office, year date letter of a lowercase Gothic script "u" for 1894 and maker's mark of "F.M" for 'Frederick Marson' of Spencer street, Birmingham.

The condition is superb, with little sign of age and usage, the lid hinge is solid and fully working and closes with a firm action.
