DESCRIPTION

The Napo River, a tributary to the Amazon River, flows through the three volcanoes of Antisana, Sincholagua and Cotopaxi. Featuring crackled and aged Peruvian leathers on strong leather soles with a stacked leather heel, the Napo is the flat for the venturesome traveler. Full of snags and deceiving sandbanks among jungle-tangled islands, the tough and sturdy Napo is surprising in its beautiful appearance.

These shoes are such a adorable ballet flat. The leather finish has a lovely muted look about it, and they look great with both jeans and skirts. I do have wide feet and alas these will probably require a hefty break in period to stretch out the toe box, but being good quality leather I know it'll be worth it in the end. I purchased my usual 1/2 larger then true size in fluevog and I believe it is the right size. Larger would fit my width better but would probably be too long.

I usually live close to a Fluevog store, and had promised myself the treat of trying these babies on when I got back from a stint in the middle of nowhere (aka far from Fluevog stores). Anyway, then they went on clearance, so I ordered the last pair in my size from the lovely folks at the TO store. Like ice skates they are, but as with all fine shoes, they'll improve with time. Love em, love em, love em. Comfy right out of the box,cute with jeans, skirts etc, work & fun appropriate, and made to last. Could you do better than that?
