Der jugendliche, unbekleidete Körper wird von einem locker umgelegten Mantel und floralen Verzierungen betont. Die Szene ist in eine üppige Waldlandschaft eingebettet, deren detailreich gestaltete Blätter, Blumen und Felsen eine romantische, naturverbundene Atmosphäre schaffen. Die feine Lichtführung hebt den hellen Körper des Narziss plastisch vom dunklen Hintergrund ab und betont die anmutige Pose.

  • Description: The print shows Narcissus leaning over his reflection on the bank of a clear spring. The youthful, unclothed body is emphasised by a loosely draped cloak and floral decorations. The scene is embedded in a lush forest landscape, whose richly detailed leaves, flowers and rocks create a romantic, nature-loving atmosphere. The subtle lighting vividly sets off the Narcissus' light body from the dark background and emphasises the graceful pose.
