Antique Scioto Works wooden skew rabbet plane, made by the Ohio Tool Company in Columbus, Ohio, circa 1860–1880. The plane is crafted from beech wood with a skewed iron for clean cutting across the grain. The maker’s mark “SCIOTO WORKS” is stamped on the toe, along with the model number No. 12.


Complete with wedge and iron, showing attractive patina and fine ray fleck in the wood. A solid example of mid-19th-century American craftsmanship.
