For sale is a nice saucer made by Sevres in the 18th
century or to be more exact in about 1780. It is hand painted with the
Feuille de Choux / Chou (I have seen it spelled both ways) pattern
which includes three floral arrangements along the rim as well as a
single flower in the center and that distinctive blue and gold trim on a
raised design. I think it was based on cabbage leaves originally.
Looks stunning and is not that easy to find in good condition. Sadly
no cup. Their enamel colors and gilding are just superb. The saucer is
in great condition with some very minor wear which is typical of soft
paste pieces. Looks stunning on display! It is marked underneath with
the interlaced blue L mark with the CC as the date code in the
center. It is made of softpaste porcelain and has the hole for hanging
in the kiln near the foot ring. There are also two artist and incised
marks as shown. The piece is 1.125 inches tall and 5 inches in
diameter. FrenchFrance 18th century floral
