The Schuberth C5 is a fiberglass helmet that was manufactured with Direct Fiber Processing Technology. This makes for a lightweight and strong helmet. The Schuberth C5 is also available in a carbon version, which is even lighter for a more comfortable riding experience.
The fiberglass version weighs 1647 grams (size M), while the carbon weights 1511 grams (size M). A lower weight reduces neck fatigue during longer rides. The C5 comes in 2 shell sizes and 7 head sizes for a comfortable and compact fit no matter the size you end up choosing. This helmet also has an EPS shell which protects your head by offering great shock absorption in case of an accident.
The Schuberth C5 helmet is designed to be as comfortable as possible. The helmet has a premium inner liner which feels soft against the skin, while being anti-sweat, anti-bacterial, and moisture wicking. Additionally, the Schuberth C5 is equipped with a new neck roll, which further reduces wind noise. Because of this, the C5 is one of the quietest modular helmets available. The Schuberth C5 is prepared for the Sena SC-2 communication system, which means you can connect to other riders or listen to music. To install this system, you just have to install the battery unit in the back of the helmet.
The Schuberth C5 also comes with an Anti Roll-Off System which are 2 cords in the helmet. This helps the helmet stay in place in case of an accident.
The Schuberth C5 is equipped with the SV6 visor, offering a wide field of view. This helmet also features an integrated sun visor that you can use to protect your eyes against the sun anytime you need it. Schuberth prepared the C5 for a pinlock lens and there’s a pinlock included in the box. The pinlock does a great job at preventing visor condensation. Both the visor and sun visor are scratch-resistant and UV-protected, this protects your eyes from the sunlight and makes sure that the visor will remain clear overtime.
The Air Dynamic System in the Schuberth C5 provides excellent airflow, keeping riders cool and comfortable. The helmet features two chin vents with exchangeable air filters, a top vent, and a large exhaust at the back to release warm air.
