This is a presentation case that would have been used by Leitz Camera in New York, I believe in the 20s or 30s. I wasn't sure when this was from, but then I happened to spot an article about the recent Tamarkin Leica auction and there was an identical presentation case (in much better shape) that was paired with a Leica I from 1928. If you search for Tamarkin Leica Auction 2025, you'll find it.
This one, though, is not in presentation shape... It may be missing some kind of latch. The vinyl is scuffed, and the interior has seen better days. I think the photos are a good representation of its condition. If one wanted to make it presentable, it would take a little work. But maybe it's worth it to you...
