Item Description

Here is a great Abraham Lincoln related piece for your buying consideration. Recently acquired it at an estate sale. Would make a great gift or keep for yourself!

Here are nice pen and ink drawing that is attributed to having been done by John Wolcott Adams by a well known and reputable auction house. They are attributed as being illustrations for the book, "A Man for the Ages" which was written by Irving Bacheller. John W Adams was the illustrator for this book which was an Abraham Lincoln biography. The piece was therefore date to around 1919. There is no illustrator signature on the part of the drawing that is showing.

Some discoloration to the paper and a crease from top to bottom. The drawing looks to be in good shape. No other certificate or provenance came with this piece.

The piece is in a nice gold colored wood frame with a white matting and then an internal gold wood piece that makes contact with the pen & ink drawing. The glass is intact, no cracks or blistering.

The framed piece is 19.5" tall, by 15-5/16" across, by 1" wide. The part of the pen & ink sketches that show is 11-7/8" tall by 7.75" across. Let us know if you have any questions or need additional pictures. Don’t be shy to make an offer, we are always open to reasonable suggestions.

If an item is shipped to a country outside of the United States, the buyer is responsible for any brokerage, tariffs, taxes, customs, or other charges imposed by that country. If you purchase or win more than one auction in which the items can safely be shipped together, we will send you a combined invoice.

We take great pride in is our wrapping to ensure that your order is safely shipped to you. You might find our shipping costs higher than other sellers, but it is due to the extra time, packing care, and materials we utilize. Of over 900 packages shipped last year, we had only two items with issues, a 99.8% damage free delivery rate. Keep in mind, we are not shipping soft goods, like shirts or pants. We are shipping vintage/antique items that are fragile and require special care.

We also obtain insurance on any item that was bought for $50 or more, and require signature on delivery for items that are valued at over $200. Plus we have to pay the 11.75% of the final value and shipping fees that eBay charges.

Returns Policy

- Returns are accepted by seller within 30 days of receipt of item where an item is not as described. The Buyer will be assessed a 15% fee of the Item Cost, plus 115% of both Shipping Costs should they decide to return this item for whatever the reason.
- Please note that a fee is charged to to cover costs related to the loss of listing time and other potential sales, plus the amount of care and time that goes into preparing our unique and fragile items for shipping.
- In accordance with eBay's Buyer Protection Program, the purchase price plus original shipping cost will be refunded to the buyer once the item has been received by the seller, minus the fees noted.
- Buyer would pay for the return shipping cost and any applicable insurance cost (item is the buyer's financial responsibility until the item is safely returned to the seller by shipper).
